1st timer: Five for Friday

I'm linking up, for the first time, with Doodle Bugs Teaching. I'm little late, but better late than never, right?
I've been sick for over 10 days. What a bummer. I got my husband sick, even worse. So Friday was a doctor visit day. Enough with that junk.
This stuff, plus mucinex, plus loads of cough drops, plus more liquids than usual. It's a sad existence I've been caring on. I'll be kicking this stuff soon thanks to a steroid shot and some antibiotics from the doc. :)
I've been working on stuff for my teachers pay teachers store relentlessly. I probably need to take a break, but I've finished some stuff that I've had on my list for quite a while. I feel a little accomplished.
I'm technically still working on that last set of common core standards, but it will be done today :)
I've also been working on getting my classroom together. I've bought lots of new decorations/borders/doodads (I don't think that's a word lol) and whatnots (also probably not a word) for my classroom. I'm working on some super cute decorations. I'll be revealing those for Monday Made It in a couple of days though. Here's a sneak peek of what I've got coming up. It's going to be fabulous. Check back on Monday (or maybe Tuesday, since I seem to be so behind these days which is VERY UNUSUAL for me). :)

Oh the things I'm going to do with this sweet little thing. It's a GBC proclick personal binding machine. I've read about it all over the place and knew I had to have one. My coworker and I have come up with all kinds of AMAZING ideas to use this bad boy, and save us some time and sanity throughout the year. I'm pretty pumped.

I signed up for my first SLANT box exchange hosted by Lessons With Coffee! I'm pretty excited. I was paired with Meg over at Tales and Teacherisms who teaches 2nd grade. My other partner is Suzanna who is the author of Suprisingly Seventh. The theme this month is home town pride, so I'm going to have to get creative! I'm so pumped to get to know each of these ladies. :)

Don't laugh when I say this....but IT'S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH! I'm a little obsessed with my birthday. It's always been my favorite day of the year. I even like it more than Halloween, and that's saying something. I may or may not need something like that little gem above to wear to school on my special day ;). I'm just kidding, maybe. But I do get pretty pumped about my birthday.

That's my five. A little late but, hey, it happens. :)

  1. It's my birthday month too! I notified my husband of it yesterday and he did not seem quite as enthused as me. Happy birthday to you! I get it.

    1. I informed my husband today, he just giggled and kept walking. He thinks it's funny how obsessed I am with my birthday! Happy Birthday month to you too! When is your birthday this month?

  2. I'm the 20th, when are you? I hope you get better in time to celebrate!

    1. I'm actually feeling better already! Mine is the 22nd! We're close birthday buddies!

  3. Thanks for the blog shout out! I'm excited for our Slant Box fun!!!

And the classroom colors looks so pretty!
